Rebecca Restrepo

Rebecca restrepo_bwRebecca Restrepo has made a name for herself as a beautiful, modern makeup artist for top tier editorials and A-list celebrities. A native New Yorker, she studied painting and fashion at FIT and the School of Visual Arts, eventually discovering makeup as the perfect blend of the two. A close friendship with hairstylist Garren at Henri Bendel led to opportunities assisting Laura Mercier, and from there her natural talents blossomed into a career spanning from editorials and advertising to red carpets.

Rebecca’s natural ability, passion and poise translate both behind-the-scenes as well as on-camera. She has regularly been featured on national morning and makeover shows with her flawless application and exuberant personality setting her apart from other artists. Bilingual in Spanish and English, she has worked internationally and has formed strong relationships with beauty editors worldwide.

Rebecca is inspired by the vivid colors of her family’s Colombian heritage and her favorite painters. She frequently travels the world seeking new trends and inspiration. Her work appears regularly in the pages of top magazines, and she has a loyal celebrity client list. Rebecca has had the privilege of working with some of the most inspiring women in politics—Michelle Obama and Nancy Pelosi – as well as celebrity icons like Gwyneth Paltrow, Nikki Reed, Amy Adams, Kelly Ripa, Alicia Keys and Brooke Shields.

In 2012, Rebecca was named Elizabeth Arden’s Global Makeup Artist. In this role, she will serve as both a spokesperson and brand ambassador. As Global Makeup Artist, Rebecca will be the company’s lead makeup artist sharing expert advice with consumers, working on photo shoots and filming makeup tutorials. She will also serve as the brand’s creative advisor on everything from trend forecasting to beauty consultant training. Rebecca’s unique approach to makeup harnesses her clients’ natural beauty, making her the perfect companion to help share and spread Elizabeth Arden’s founding belief that “To be beautiful is the birthright of every woman.”
