The last year and a half has made a major impact on our industry and on each of us as artists and individuals. A Global Pandemic, political strife, important social movements and necessary societal actions have all taken place and pushed the beauty business and our world in many directions. BIPOC culture and artists continue to influence fashion and beauty in immeasurable ways without acknowledgment. Diversifying your skill set is essential, but it’s still not taught in most schools. Representation has been spoken about by brands, but it has been performative or a slow build. Our work loads are increasing and budgets are shrinking. Social media continues to change the possibilities for success. Female artists are still paid less than their male counterparts and opportunity in our industry looks very different than it ever has before. How do we stay optimistic and find the answers?
In this first time panel, our artists and experts will tackle the tough subjects and talk openly about accountability, authenticity, inclusion and engagement. Join the conversation to connect with your community and come together to reimagine the possibilities that are steering the industry towards the positive to build back passion and momentum in our ever-changing industry.
