Learn from legendary artists making an impact on our industry’s past, present and future at our live Main Stage. The Main Stage is a must for the attendees who want to learn how to advance their own artistry and career.

Our IN the Studio classes provide an educational experience to artists of all levels to help refine their makeup skills and elevate their artistry and career in an intimate setting. Each class allows attendees to listen and learn through demonstration, coaching, discussion and practice hands-on while receiving informative feedback from their instructor. During the session registrants have the option to either create a makeup look on themselves or to bring a model into the class after the first hour. The model will need to have a show ticket to enter the class. If the model wishes to enter the show floor they will need to have a show ticket.
*IN the Studio attendees must bring their own brush set, all other products supplied.
*IN the Studio registration is in addition to your show ticket. You will have the option to register for a class when you purchase your show ticket.

This event is ideal for freelancers, salon makeup artists and anyone who wants to add makeup to, or perfect their work in the area of bridal makeup. You will understand the best products and techniques for long-lasting, beautiful bridal makeup. Working in television and film is an exciting and rewarding opportunity in the makeup industry. With more production work than ever and more union positions available, it is important to understand the who, what, where, when, and why? At times, it can be overwhelming when it comes to landing the position, building the right skill set and succeeding as an artist in design.
In this hands-on workshop multiple Emmy Award winner and Makeup Guild award recipient Melanie Mills, demonstrates a step-by-step process to understand the needs of today’s clients and cameras.

Understanding Color Theory & Color Correction: Nick Lujan
Studio 1: Sunday, May 5, 2024 – 1:00am-4:00pm – $145
Class Level: Beginner
Theory is used to allow us to understand how colors react to each other and how our eyes see that reaction. This reaction is the basis of all make up design. Color theory applied in beauty make up lets us enhance certain features like eye color, make educated choices to correct discoloration in the skin tone or skin imperfections, and helps with issues like under eye darkness. In more advanced or avant garde make up designs, color theory will help you create a unique and impactful end result. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to make your own foundations, customize colors to design the best looks for your clients, and develop your eye to see how color theory applies to all aspects of your work.

The Bridal makeup artist has their own special set of required skills in matters of business and makeup application. In this lucrative but crowded field finding ways to separate yourself from other artists in your area can be the difference between success and failure. In this hands-on workshop, we will discuss some easy ways to make more money and be more organized in building your bridal business. In the makeup aspect of this workshop, you will see examples of how you can elevate bridal makeup to an editorial beauty level and achieve notoriety in your own market as well as the knowledge to make a woman look wonderful on the most important day in her life. The presenter will lead you through your own application and help you develop techniques for makeup in high-intensity situations that range from romantic and classic to more modern looks.

This event will help you increase your confidence when you approach any skin tone. The presenter will review the skills required for working on a variety of mid and darker skin tones, review important considerations for skin color and undertone, discuss in-depth foundation matching and choosing eye, lip and cheek colors that are appropriate to skin tone. Focus on color matching, highlight, contour and concealing skin to create a flawless canvas for clients.
The Business of Beauty Sessions – A series of lectures with Master Artists and Industry Experts designed to engage with you personally. Listen and learn from the best in the business as they bring you through an intimate seminar-style class with a variety of content to elevate your artistry, brand, and career through discussion and participation. A demonstration for the session may be provided. Designed for those working in the beauty industry and wanting to delve deeper into the business aspect.
These sessions are in-depth information on the topic, but without the hands-on segment.
