She encourages artists and small business owners to understand themselves, their business, and to know that they are more than “just a makeup artist” when working for themselves. Her thought-provoking and engaging conversation is raw, real, and talks candidly of the roller coaster ride a freelancer or small business will endure on their path to success. She also explains how to utilise the superpower that is “purpose” to stay strong whilst riding the wave to reach career milestones.

Melanie’s resilient mindset and solutions-based strategies will help artists find their feet and move forward even when they’re in a rut. Her aim is for attendees to start thinking as true creatives, by encouraging them to see potential beyond what’s physically in front of them, and in turn creating their own opportunities.
