yaneek-proctorYaneek’s extensive expertise in makeup artistry and communications has extended for over 15 yrs. In the summer of 97′, her interest peaked as a journalistic writer for local magazines. During that time, she had the opportunity to interview entertainers, athletes, and local achievers. Yaneek’s passion for beauty, took her out of communications temporarily and to New York City to become a high-profile makeup artist. Yaneek has worked for renowned cosmetic companies such as Stila, Prescriptives, Yves Saint Laurent, Smashbox, Mac, and currently Nars Cosmetics which has allowed her to work with many amazing clients. While living one dream as an extremely talented makeup artist, Yaneek could not let go of her passion for broadcast. She found herself back in Virginia at Columbia School of Broadcasting, in 2006. In less than six months after becoming a student, Yaneek was asked to move to Texas to become a National Television Host for The Jewelry Channel. As a presenter for TJC, Yaneek was able to captivate the minds of over 34 million viewers. Remaining focused and driven, Yaneek was able to become a successful talent in arguably the hardest form of television. The Jewelry Channel called on Yaneek to do much more than ad-lib her on air shows. Yaneek was asked to travel out of the country to film documentaries, do voice-over work, film commercials, and also join forces with one of Forbes Magazines top ten charities….Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Texas. As a motivational speaker, Yaneek was asked to speak about what it takes to accomplish your life dreams. Nowadays you can find Yaneek on your local television network, radio station, or backstage during Fashion Week with such designers as Helmut Lang, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Naeem Khan, Alexander Wang, and many more (with Nars Cosmetics). Yaneek’s personality and determination has made her an incredible television host, presenter, voice-over perfectionist, sought after makeup artist, and motivational speaker.
