Tip of the Week: Holiday Beauty Goes Classic by Eugenia Weston
Emmy nominated celebrity makeup artist & founder of Senna cosmetics, Eugenia Weston has been a pioneer in the cosmetics industry for over three decades. As one of The Makeup Show’s favorite educators & prominent makeup artist, this brow guru shares with you her favorite beauty tips for the Holiday season…
Add pizzazz this season by wearing a classic red, like Senna’s Valentina Cream Lipstick. Red always looks chic and ultra feminine and works for all your holiday parties. If red scares you, make it into a stain by dabbing it on with the tip of your finger. It looks like a baby’s lip, fresh and young. Be camera ready by wearing the proper foundation shade. Custom-blend your foundation and say goodbye to that ghostly pallor, where your face is lighter than your décolleté in photos. Wear a mineral bronzer instead of blush. It is more modern and shapes and defines your face. Highlight focal points with shimmer. Use ‘Turncoat’ or ‘Pink Martini’ Eyeshadow to create a ‘V’ in the inner eye corners, above your brows, on cheekbones and Cupid’s bow. This trick makes these features pop. Go bold with your eyes. Eyeliner is a must this holiday season. Use ‘Sultry CreamLine Palette’ to create alluring eyes. Smooth the dark cream liner close to the lashes using the ‘Line & Smudge’ brush then smudge over with the coordinating powder shadow. Now take the powdered Eyeshadow and blend over entire eyelid. Add a touch of gold to your eye makeup & dab on ‘24K Eye Bling’ over your normal Eyeshadow. This actually softens the look of the eye makeup, and adds that WOW factor that gets everyone’s attention. Add ‘Itsy Bitsy’ lashes to the outer corners of your eyes to create the most natural flutter. Fill in your brows with a neutral colored pencil to accent your arches. Having your brows shaped by a trained professional will give you a line to follow and they can teach you how to fill them in properly. So party on and most importantly, be safe and beautiful!
