The Makeup Show Europe’s Debut!

We launched the show on Friday with our pre-party press event, Galerie. Big names from our exhibiting brands including creator of Inglot himself, Wojtek Inglot and Cofounder of Make Up For Ever, Jacque Waneph, along with agency representatives, VIP attendees, and members of the Press came together to celebrate The Makeup Show Europe’s debut with cocktails, music, and art! Our exhibitors Temptu Pro, Inglot, Kett Cosmetics, Senjo Theater Makeup and Einat Dan all displayed their talents as they used inspiration from European cities, names, and histories to create their unique full body looks for the extravaganza.
On Saturday, STATION-Berlin’s doors opened for all beauty insiders. Nearly 2,000 visitors joined us in the following two days from regions throughout Europe including Germany, the United Kingdom, Poland, Russia, Israel, Italy .. and more! – this was truly an international gathering of pros.
Taking on the persona and spirit of the avant-garde city of Berlin, The Makeup Show’s education was nothing like what we’ve seen before and we LOVED it. Loni Baur’s Keynote was not your traditional sit down Q&A. Upon giving insight into her career in the industry as a freelance artist and founder of the renown, Color & Crème Academy, she gave a live multimedia performance. With a DJ to her left building a beat for her to create, inspire, and dance to, Loni generated a breathtaking look for her packed audience, with a toothbrush nonetheless!
The ingenuity didn’t stop there, Bernhard Klinglmair later shared his personal insights that have made him an expert in the area of HD makeup, and our Working in Europe panel was a booming hit with industry insiders Andrea Mayr, James Vincent, Georg Korpas and Oliver Szilagyi. Not only did these artists share how to manage one’s freelance career, but showed the diversity of careers available within the industry. Each of these seminars were packed with beauty pros ranging from eager students breaking in to the field to the technically trained artists looking to gain that extra piece of critical knowledge.
Oh and let’s not forget the industry’s top brands like Make Up For Ever, Inglot, Krylon, and Glamcor who lined the floors of STATION-Berlin with their unique product filled pop-up shops.
If the seminars, workshops, and products galore weren’t enough – attendees took advantage of the opportunity to meet, speak with, and get their portfolios reviewed by the industry’s top agents, international artists, and educators in the Pro-Area. They critiqued, chatted, and connected — expanding your network is always necessary in the business.
Stay tuned for more updates and memorable moments!! … Once again, thank you to all the exhibitors, attendees, artists, and agencies that joined and welcomed us in Berlin!! And, of course, a special shout out to Andrea Mayr of Maske Berlin, whom without, the show would have not been such a resounding success!!
See you all again in 2012!!
